Ryan McKenna, E.I.
Laboratory Manager
Ryan has been involved in geotechnical, environmental, and construction inspection related work for 3+ years. He has a very broad based knowledge of the construction and environmental industry. He has also been involved in construction material testing and inspection on multiple construction projects ranging from multi-story buildings to roadways.
Ryan has also been involved in environmental compliance, remediation, sampling and inspection related to both ground and surface water. In addition, he has experience with groundwater and surface water collection.
Ryan has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and began his career with GSE in August of 2016.
Jason Burchfield
assistant lab manager
Jason is the assistant lab manager with 10+ years of chemical and structural materials testing. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology.
Jason also worked in the Structural Materials section at the FDOT State Materials Office, testing concrete samples for chloride content and testing structural materials for state approval. He has worked at GSE since April 2017 testing concrete and soils.
Nat davis
lab technician
Notoriously shy Nat has worked as a chemical process operator and laboratory technician in the wood preservation industry for over 6 years and in the masonry products industry for the past 3+ years. She has been a member of GSE's Laboratory since 2018.
ERIK G. TIMBERLAKE
lab technician
Erik is a new addition to the field of soil and construction materials testing. Training from the ground up under the experienced technicians at GSE gives him a unique early hands-on approach to the field. Erik has obtained his Concrete Tech Level 1, LBR, Asphalt Plant Level 1 and Aggregate Testing Level 1 certifications currently and plans to continue to broaden his knowledge base as he gains experience.
DIEGO A. REY
Lab technician
Diego is a student at the University of Florida going after his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. He is certified in concrete strength testing, has his CMEC and FDOT certifications for LBR. He is obtaining a broad knowledge in all things concrete here at GSE.
