Michel S Chalhoub, Ph.D., P.E., S.E.
Michel has over 35 years of engineering design, specialized analysis, project and program management, and dual corporate and academic experience. He fulfilled senior management roles in major American corporations such as Parsons Corp., Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and InterPublic Group. His experience combines civil-structural design, organizational strategies, socio-economic and environmental impact assessment, cost-benefit evaluation, policy recommendations, expert damage evaluation in post-natural disaster and post-war relief effort. Michel actively serves on academic accreditation programs including ABET, AACSB, and NECHE. Some of the projects that Michel designed and provided execution supervision include Disney’s Splash Mountain, Typhoon Lagoon, Tower of Terror Ride, and theme parks such as Fantasy Island, and Honey I shrunk the Kids, in Orlando, FL. Michel was the structural designer and dynamicist on several projects such as the SRMU Test Stand Steel Tower at Edwards Air Force Base, CA; the PAD-40 launch facility at Cape Canaveral, FL; the Point Loma Ocean Outfall in San Diego, CA; Ship Docking Cells in Red Dog and Prudhoe Bay, AL; the Large Blast Thermal Simulator in White Sands, NM; among several projects throughout the US. Internationally, Michel has a diverse portfolio of specialty projects including the Hamad International Airport Expansion in Qatar; river rehabilitation projects in Lebanon; disaster relief and damage assessment in the wake of the Aug 220 Port of Beirut Blast; and several projects in Jordan, Syria, and the region.
